Iv been glued of course, got the flags out, the replica shirts, etc, etc. It seems the theme of this world cup is the pre-tournement faves underperforming, ie. England, Brazil, Germany, France, Italy; and the "overperformance" of the so-called no-hopers, ie. Ecuador, Ghana, T&T. Iv believed for a long while that the smaller teams are bridging the gap to the better teams in international football. As for England, I still have hope they can win it, they may have underachieved, but they still won both there games, and as we all know, England only usually perform against the better teams, they still have one of the best squads in the cup and Rooneys back too. Im slightly scared of 2 teams at the moment tho, Argentina and Spain, they are the only 2 big teams to have good starts, I saw the argies rip Serbia apart, and as much as it pains me to say it, they were awesome.
As always, Ive also been watchin Big Brother, and I love it this year, a lot more than last year. I have 3 faves, Pete obviously, every1s fave, its nothing to do with the Tourettes, its jus the fact hes an eccentric funny character who also comes over as a really nice genuine guy. The fact that BB have not shown so much of him recently to stop him running away with it says a lot about him. I also like Glyn, hes very funny, and like Pete, I think hes just being himself, and got a good chance of snatching it. But my fave of all faves is Nikki, I only have to look at her and she makes me laugh. A lot of ppl cant understand why Id like her to win, but I think its cos everything about her is pure comedy, especially when she has a tantrum. Ppl are saying shes acting up to the cameras, and maybe she is a little, but who cares, cos shes brutally honest, even about herself, and shes definatly the most entertaining. Im just hopin ppl come round to her like ppl did with Eugene last yr, and make her the winner.
Im so glad summers here at last, so to sum up my summer so far: Went to wharf with Al, went to James' 21st birthday party, went to Keele, went to Alton towers (again), went to wharf for Gems birthday, Jord came to stay, went to wharf again....and thats bout it.
Going now, Im hungry.
TTFN 24 mai We don't take NUS, we dont take any sh*t like that!Hey, had my third driving lesson this morning, its going quite well although iv learnt that I cant do more than 2 things at once and have no coordination skills whatsoever! All that said tho, Im really enjoying the experience, 4 weeks ago Id never even been behind a steering wheel, and my instructor tells me altho Im too heavy on my feet, Im not scared of speed, so its not all bad. Not gonna be scouring the Auto Trader jus yet mind!
As for things on the job front, Im still bein a lazy bstard, but Im hopin to circulate some CV's by next week, cos theres a family party at the end of the week and I jus know Im gonna be asked the same questions by every1:

Had a fantastic week last week, went up to Hull to see Jacko and Mandy, and we generally drank beer and had a brill time. They asked me a few times what I would be doing if I was at home, and i told them honestly that I would be doin absolutly f*ck all, I think they thought I was jokin, but seriously, look I have to update my blog for the losers who read it just to stem the boredom, HELP ME!!

So, jus had my first drivin lesson, i was shittin myself b4hand, but it wasnt too bad. I nearly crashed, lol, but I didnt so its all gud. Didnt do much, jus pulled off a couple of times, its harder than it looks thats for sure. Anyways, il keep u updated, in the meanwhile, keep off the pavements!!
I got a fuckin insect bite!! Its only May, bastards come out early. Its really sunny 2day tho, makes me wanna go to alton towers. Any1 else up for goin, I cud try organise sumat? Let me no if u do.
I was gutted this weekend wiv Rooney gettin injured. Looks like its gonna be touch and go, and even if he does make it, it wont b til the latter stages. I really believed this year, more than ever b4, we could win, but without Rooney, I fink wev only got a small chance. Its fuckin typical cos i reckon if any other english player got injured we could of coped wiv it, wev got plenty of decent cover for defence, midfield and in goal, but up front is weak without him and Owen too. If I was Sven, I would play Crouch up front, wiv Gerrard jus behind supporting him, then hope to hell Rooney is back for the Knockout stages.
I bought Snow Patrols new album yesterday, Its pretty decent, best song is Chasing Cars, not sure if its as gud as Final Straw tho.

Ive added some pictures from mine and Emmas trip to Hull to see Jacko and Mandy, Jus wanna thank Em for them cos I kinda nicked them off her! We had a fantastic time while we were there, its a really nice place, and cant wait to go again.
Wow, havent blogged for a while, its cos I never really know wot to write, so I apologise if u get bored. Havent really done much since last time, apart from going to Hull, my m8 Chris come back from Bolton for a week for his Birthday, and we did the normal random stuff. Went to the cinema to see Silent Hill, and it was a bit crap, the ending was confusin and wierd, although the storyline wasnt bad, I wouldnt wanna see it again though. Villa beat the bluenoses 3-1, which was fuckin awesome, were still shit tho, jus not as shit as the scum.
Well, dunno wot else to say, so Im off.
TTFN 31 mars Virus Free and Ready to PartyHelloooooooo...Im finally back online, for those who dont no, my sis gave my computer a virus, and because I no fuck all bout computers, I got sum random guy to fix it for me! So iv been wivout the internet until recently, so...woo!
To be honest I havent been up 2 much, I had my birthday a couple of weeks back, which Chris came back for. We had a great week, and went out wiv sum friends on the night of my birthday. Also went to wharf for first time in ages wiv Al from work last monday, and Im sad to report that I reckon its gone a little downhill, the music wasnt as great as I remember, it seems that they have developed a fear of anything remotely mainstream because most of the music I only vaguely knew, or hadnt even heard of b4 - I mean there was no Killers, no Chiefs, no Franz, they didnt even play 'Hounds of Love'! Despite this, we had a gud night, and I got pissed, so it wasnt all bad!
Went to Keele this week jus for one night, but I had a great time, and it was great to see the girls and Jord and Heather again. Finally, me and Emma have booked tickets to go to Hull to see Jacko and Mandy in their new house, goin for 3 days, Monday 10th - Thurs 13th April, and I cant wait, really lookin forward to it, especially the first night cos Jacks promised to cook for us!
 In between all the exciting stuff, Iv been working mostly, but Iv cut my hours down so I can concentrate hard on searching and applying for grad jobs. I no I need the cash at the mo, but I got comfortable with wot i was doin and the pay, and so I decided that i needed to put the fear factor into me to motivate me to look for jobs, if that makes sense...I know what im talkin bout anyways!!
One last thing, Stereophonics new album, 'Live from Dakota' is out this Monday, u jus av to buy it, and also, found out 2day, Muse release their new album sometime in May too, can't wait!

I think its sad that we don't really celebrate St. Georges day the way that the Irish or the Welsh celebrate their patron saint, It seems a football match is more of a reason to celebrate our nationality.

 , for those of u who dont no, I work fri-mon every week, but the 3 days I get off go so quick, and I never get chance to do wot I need to do, ie. clear my room and look for jobs among other things. Partly through procrastination and partly through laziness!So valentines has come and gone, and was as shite as ever, altho I did get a card (Thanx Amy x). So from one pointless day to the next, pancake day, I dont even like pancakes!!
This year, more than ever, Im craving for it to be summer, I really hate shit weather, i cant wait to do fun stuff in the sun with me m8s, and the world cup, and sitting outside the pub, and being able to replace overcoats with no coats.

My blog count has reached 500 people, how cool is my blog! Yeah...not very, but It made me happy! The worse thing is that Its been nearly a year since I started my blog. To be honest, I think the last year has gone scarily fast, I mean its already Feb 2006 (What happened to Jan?), Iv been at my job 6 months and its almost a year since my 21st, (that is in no way meant as a hint, but I'm lookin forward to March 15th).
Hayley sent me a really cool email the other day, basically it told me to go on google and type in my name followed by the word 'needs', then after clickin search, look at the top hit, and there should be a sentance that starts 'name' needs..., followed by a description. Mine came up as:
"Dave needs the Snake"
but there were some that were a lot funnier.

Is it me or is this whole Arctic Monkeys thing just a big hype? Don't get me wrong, I like them, their songs are pretty decent, but does the whole buzz around them really deserve to be compared to that that we felt with Oasis? I read that their debut album sold more in the first week than 'Definatly Maybe' did, but I dont think this should be an indication of their future successes and longevity, if theyre a tenth as successful as Oasis, they'll have done extremely well. It was only natural that the public would seek to find the new Oasis, the question is, are we right to crown them or is it a baptism of fire. I suppose only time will tell.
Im feeling very retro today, I went to Brum and bought an old gameboy color. I think its the third time Ive owned one, I used to play on it all the time. I also bought Zelda and Super Hunchback, 2 games I used to own as a kid. Suffice to say, I love it, you kids can keep ur PSP's and shit, gameboy rocks.
Sorry Ive not blogged for ages, I havent ad much to say to be honest. Im tryin to save some money cos Im gettin me room done in the next couple of weeks and wanna buy a whole new set of furniture. My room is a big mismatch of colors, cos while my desk and bookcase are brown, my draws and wardrobe are white, my walls are claret n blue, my bedposts are green and my quilt and pillows are black and white. Oh, and my carpets blue, it looks well shit. Im also plannin to book some drivin lessons (finally) in the next week so its all very exciting!!
TTFN 8 janvier Back to NormalHey, hope you've all recovered after christmas n new year. Its all over now for another year n its kinda sad in a way, the worst thing is returnin to the yawn trip of daily routine. I was talkin to a friend today and I realised that everyone wants to do experience new things, things that'l change their lives for the better, like travelin the world or gettin ur own place, but 99% of people get left behind and never get round to doin it cos they're either too scared, too lazy, too comfortable or just not motivated enough. I think it's better to regret doing something than to regret not doing it at all, and it's sumat iv gotta think about this year, i jus hope I dont get left behind!
On a totally different note, theres a couple of films Im lookin forward to seein this year, The pirates of the caribbean 2 and The da vinci code. Ive almost finished reading the book and I love it, Tom Hanks, one of my fave actors, is playin the lead role of Robert Langdon and I fink it will translate well to film. Hopin for a flood of great new bands this year too, and new albums from some established ones, most notably The Killers, Keane and Snow Patrol, its bout time we heard sumat new from them. Finally, the one thing Im most excited about this year is the summer, and the world cup of course. I hate havin to go to work in the dark and cum home in the dark!

If tonights taught me anyfink, its not to stay in on new yrs eve! Iv even made sum new yr resolutions this yr too, usually i make shit, boring ones like 'get fit' or 'save money'; but this year I decided i needed to set sum goals for me. My new years resolutions are:
1. Get a Grad job in Chemistry or Maths; 2. Learn to drive; 3. Spend more time wiv my friends n family; 4. Learn to play Keyboard; 5. Be more adventurous, i.e. grow facial hair!

TTFN 24 décembre Holidays a coming!Hey, its finally here, christmas shoppin is over for another year, all the presents are wrapped and our kitchen is full of food n booze that would usually last us a year. Somehow seems a lot of effort for one day, but Im determined to have a good time this year.
Sorry for my absence, its bin more than 2 weeks since I last blogged, Iv tried to blog since then, but havent had much to say, all Ive done for the past 2-3 weeks is work and sleep, with some eatin in the middle. I havent got round to seein every1 i wanted to b4 xmas either, which is shite, but if ur one of those people, Merry Christmas n Il see u after the new year. The plan for the next week is: open prezzies, eat turkey, lol, ok, without stating the obvious, Im goin down the wharf monday night (boxing day) with jacko n chris (i think), so i hope every1 will be there. Then the only day Iv got off is weds, so il be goin shoppin to spend my hard earned christmas cash. Still unsure wots happenin for new year, but I wont be stayin in.

I recently found out that there will be a new rocky film, Rocky VI, coming out in the near future, or to be exact, early 2007. I love the Rocky films, or should I say I love all four Rocky films, the fifth one was shite and shouldnt really be classed as a Rocky film cos he only really had one fight, which was outside the ring and there was no training scenes either. Im hoping this next one will return to the same format that made the first ones a success. There are no trailors for this filmat the moment cos it's so early in production, in fact only 2 actors have been cast, one of which is sly as rocky, but here's a funny Rocky link 2 keep you entertained:

TTFN 28 novembre Moan moan moan!!Hiya, this is my first blog in a while, bin busy wiv work n stuff, I dont seem to av much time to myself nowadays, can't wait til christmas is all over to be honest. I love chrimbo day, but I hate the build up to it. I still havent got much in the way of xmas prezzies for people, Im like this every year, never now wot to get anyone, and Im not gonna get much chance. STRESS STRESS STRESS!!!!!!
Oh well, thats my little moan, Im listenin to Kerrang at the mo, that makes everything seem better, can always rely on Kerrang, except when they decide to play hip hop, i mean whats that all about, it's like 'You're a Rock station, deal with it!'.

12 novembre Wow! What a Match.Hiya,
Only one thing to talk about 2nite, the match of course. Sure it was only a friendly, if there is such a thing between us and the Argies, but both teams went out there and played like it was a cup final. It was an awesome match, Its always fantastic to beat Argentina, but to beat the 2nd faves to win the world cup is even better. With all our players in such good form and no major injuries, I jus wish the world cup was now, not 7 months away. As for Sven, I think he made a good decision (surprisingly) in subbing Young for Crouch, It was refreshing to see him make an attacking change at a time when we most needed it, and in a friendly too. Thumbs up all round.
Sorry I havent blogged for a while, bin kinda busy with work, and not much to write about. Went to Keele last week for a couple of days which was great fun.
Can't wait for Little Britain next week.
TTFN 7 novembre 48 Days Til ChristmasHeya,
Chris came back this weekend, but didnt get much chance to see him with work n stuff. We did go see Saw 2 at the cinema tho. I thought it was a gud film, Id buy it when it's out, but I reckon the first one is marginally better. I was under the impression it wasnt really connected to the first film, but there were a lot of references to the first storyline, you would definatly need to have seen the first film before seein Saw 2. It did make me feel a bit uncomfortable throughout the whole film tho, sumat to do with the fact that all the characters are coughin up blood throughout the film. Take the kids, they'll love it!!!
Goin to Keele 2mora, cant wait to see everyone, It's been too long since I was there last time.
Altho I slated Christmas a while back, Im startin to get excited now, I think writin my christmas list might have something to do with it.

Not much to say bout this week, nuffin out of the ordinary happened. I got meself a new fone on tues, after 6 years on pay as you go, finally decided to go contract. Bit too early to say it's better or worse, but I love getin a fone for FREE. I got one of those brand spankin sony walkman phones, only that the software won't install on me comp cos me comp is shit, how gash is that. The radios good tho. Iv tried my best to email or text everyone I no me new number, but if u avnt got it cos i forgot or cos ur email addy or numbers changed, jus email me or giv me a txt on me old phone, Im keepin me old one for the next week or so.
Was on the net last nite and ad TV on in background, the TV awards were on, and the legend Peter Kay was on, his first joke was a bit shit,but he came out wiv this cracker:
"Phoned the Pizza place up the other nite and asked for a Thin n Crispy Supreme, they sent me Diana Ross!"
Pure Gold. Apart from his 2 shows in Blackpool n Bolton, u av to catch snippets of Peter Kay in stand up wen u can, mainly in award shows. Isn't it about time he did another tour? Every show would be a sell-out surely, or is he jus bein lazy?
Went to see Tim Burton's new film 'Corpse Bride' on Tues wiv Paul, I was quite impressed, It was original and the storyline was good. The only grumble was that it could've been a little longer. I admire Tim Burton's work, he's very imaginative, and I place 'Big Fish' as one of my fave films of all time. There's not much on at the cinema right now altho 'Saw 2' is out 2mora, I've gta see that.
Was jus thinkin, if ur name portrayed ur image and personality, for instance carol smilie is very smily and abi titmuss, well work it out, wot wud ur name be? I spose mine wud be Dave Sleepy or sumat like that!
